Quote: "I took a break from mining for several days after the security presentation during fanfest. I mined the "normal" way for several hours each day, did PI, and acted like a normal player. I tested by mining for 3 hours one night, during my normal play window. I got a 14 day ban the next day. I would be careful guys, the point of doing a "slow boil" is to fine tune the detection methods they're using to minimize the false positives. My expectation is as they fine tune the process, they will become more aggressive in banning accounts. In the meantime, it's been fun, but I've got enough of a bankroll to make isk on trading and industry. I'll stop while I'm ahead."
CCP security team alt detected.

So, if someone reports a crime to the police, do you label them as "snitch" as well?
Depends which neighborhood you live in. The ones protected by the police. Or the ones the police couldn't give a rats arse about.

Apparently the relationship between goons and TEST is strained because some TEST member reported goon bots.
The same(?) TEST member did also petition a TEST military directory for botting resulting in a two week ban (for the director) and got kicked from the alliance for "reporting blues".
Now, how did they know who made the report? :tinfoil:
Good question. What goon around here would have access to that sort of information? I've no idea.

We are starting to take a harder look at income generation however and will determine how to action once we've mulled over the numbers.
Seriously, Sreegs, you have to stop using "action" as a verb. There's a perfectly good corresponding verb ("to act") and lots of others you can use. This makes me crazy.
Ah give Sreegs a break. I'll give him credit, he seems to be interested in the community and interacting with it. On the other hand I'm sure he could be doing something other than proof reading his post. You're lucky he typed action instead of act.....I sometimes type completely different words, not just different forms of a word, completely distorting the meaning of what I type....so, it could be worse ;) It's the curse of typing fast....fingers tend to not type what you're thinking.

Originally by: Henry Haphorn Ok, CCP Screegs, I think it's about time we get a heads up on when we expect to see the blog report regarding the anti-bot war.
Relax. Stop pestering him. He said back in May that he would have the blog up in the "next week or so...". What part of that don't you understand?
